I'm already QUITE familiar with The Four Agreements actually. This is part of the source of frustration, believe it or not. I "get" it, and so therefore, I tend to speak more naturally, imagining people will be unaffected by my words because "it's not about them." And yes, I do realize that when people are taking it personal, it's not about me either. I just wish to get to the deeper level of communication with those I care about, but it can be difficult, even when you introduce the information to those people when it just gets tossed aside during random conversations.

It's always great to hear from a fellow colleague and N.G.H. member, especially one residing in the immediate neighborhood. I'm not going to further traumatize you by asking how the Convention went.
